The smallest thing can make the greatest impact. When a set-back happens, it’s what we do next that matters.
So whether it’s a chip in your windscreen or a fall in tyre pressure, we’ll be there for you and your Volvo.
We are offering free Volvo windscreen and tyre repairs.
When you arrive, one of our trained experts will assess the damage to your Volvo and agree the conditions of your repair with you. If for any reason we’re unable to complete your repair immediately, we’ll discuss alternative options with you to help you get back on the road as soon as possible.
Even if the damage is beyond repair, we are here to help. We can provide a quote and work with you, and where possible your Insurer, to get a replacement fitted as well.
Windscreen repairs depend on the size and location of the damage, and we will work to the guidelines determined by the Volvo Safety Standards. If your chip falls outside of the necessary requirements, you may need a windscreen replacement – which we can also organise for you.
Windscreen repair. What is or isn't covered?
Windscreen repairs, for Volvo cars only, will be assessed initially to establish that the damage is reparable as stipulated by Volvo Safety Standards:
You will be advised as soon as possible if the damage can be repaired. In the case where the windscreen is unrepairable, you will be offered the option of chargeable replacement. Where applicable, the option to have the replacement through your insurance company will also be offered.
Once it has been confirmed that the damage can be repaired, the repair will be untaken by your chosen authorised Volvo Retailer or Volvo Service Centre in the United Kingdom. The repair will be completed using a professional grade windscreen repair resin method.
We aim to repair all punctures that are brought to our retailers. See below to check whether your tyre qualifies for a free puncture repair.
Tyre Repair. What is or isn't covered?
Tyre repairs, for Volvo cars only, will be assessed initially to establish that the damage is reparable. If the tyre displays any of the following characteristics, a puncture repair will not be attempted.
There are certain recommendations set by the British Standard (BS AU 159) that must be adhered to for a puncture repair to be carried out safely. They define limits to the location, size and number of repairs that can be carried out on a tyre. To meet these recommendations and adhere to the safety guidelines, we will only repair a puncture sustained in the ‘minor repair area’ which is the central ¾ of the tyre. If the tyre has a puncture anywhere outside of this area, we cannot safely repair this section as it is too close to the sidewall. Additionally, if a puncture is over 6 mm in diameter, regardless of whether it is in the safe area or not, a repair cannot be carried out as the damage is too big for a safe repair. You will be advised as soon as possible if the puncture can be repaired. In the case where the tyre is unrepairable, you will be offered the option of chargeable replacement.
Volvo vehicles only. Repairs carried out according to Volvo Safety standards. Chargeable replacement available if required. T&Cs apply.
