Is the Volvo EX90 only available as a fully electric vehicle?
Yes.
How long can I drive before I need to recharge the battery on the fully electric Volvo EX90?
The range depends on various factors such as driving style and outdoor temperature, weather, wind, topography and roads. Other factors that impact range include how much electricity you use for car functions such as heating and cooling of the car. One way to improve the range is to pre-condition your car during charging so it’s already at a comfortable temperature when you start your drive.
How much does it cost to charge the battery of the Volvo EX90?
The cost for electricity varies depending on local conditions, but the cost can be lower compared to petrol or diesel. The lowered fuel cost is also one of several reasons to switch to an electric car. To further lower the cost, you can pre-set your Volvo EX90 to charge during the times when the tariffs are the lowest, often at night.
Which is the fastest way to charge my fully electric Volvo EX90 on long journeys?
You will find the fastest charging at a DC fast-charging station along the route. To charge as fast as possible, we recommend you to limit the car's charging level to 80 per cent. This helps keep your charging times short because the last 20 per cent of charging takes the longest time. So charging the battery from 10 to 80 per cent at a 250kW DC fast-charger can be less than 30 minutes.
* But if needed to reach your destination or the next charging station, you can choose to charge the battery up to 100 per cent using the settings in the car’s centre display.
* Charging times may vary and are dependent on factors such as outdoor temperature, current battery temperature, charging equipment, battery condition and car condition.
Is the Volvo EX90 completely leather free?
Yes. Instead of leather we have developed our own Nordico material which is composed of recycled polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles, bio-attributed materials from Swedish and Finnish forests and textiles from recycled wine corks. Nordico has a 70% lower carbon footprint than our current leather interior. By 2030, all new fully electric Volvo cars will be leather-free.
Where can I charge my Volvo EX90?
In countries where Google Maps includes charging stations, you will find public charging stations on the map or via a smartphone app.
Does the Volvo EX90 have Apple CarPlay?
Yes.
Does the Volvo EX90 have Google built-in?
Yes.*
* Google services are enabled through the Digital services package which is included for four years. After this period ends, new terms and fees will apply if you choose to renew.
How can I be sure that the car battery has been produced in an environmentally and socially responsible way?
Volvo Cars is committed to full traceability. We want our customers to feel confident that they are driving a Volvo where the battery’s raw material has been sourced responsibly. The introduction of blockchain technology significantly boosts traceability within our cobalt supply chain. Blockchain, in conjunction with inspection on mining sites, GPS tracking, entry and exit scanning, verified logistics providers, facial recognition, ID checks, and time tracking, allows material traceability from the mine to the car factory.
We work closely with our suppliers to ensure sustainability of our products and services. We are committed to the responsible sourcing of minerals and metals, and fully support the OECD Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-affected and High-risk Areas.
Sustainability performance is key for us when assessing and selecting suppliers. We monitor the performance of existing suppliers and follow up with third party audits. We also require from our battery suppliers to minimise carbon emissions during the production, including usage of renewable energy. All our suppliers must agree to the Volvo Cars' Code of Conduct for Business Partners, which includes assessment of human rights and labour laws.
