Explore the safety, comfort and connectivity features that make the EX30 a not-so-big, big deal.

Park Pilot Assist

The EX30 can steer, accelerate and brake to park itself. And yes, it can even parallel park. Just keep a sharp eye on what’s going on around you and take over if something unexpected happens.

The car will find good parking spots, too. At speeds up to 13mph, it can locate spaces and show your options on the centre display. Pick one, and the car will do the rest.

Door opening alert

The EX30 uses rear radars to detect cyclists and scooters approaching from behind, sounding an alert if someone in the car goes to open a door.

The alert has two levels. First, you’ll hear a warning on the centre display and a steady BLIS light. When a collision risk is imminent, the alert escalates. You’ll hear a warning sound and the BLIS light will flash.

Battery preconditioning for rapid charging

Select your route to a charging station, and your car will precondition the battery, pre-heating or pre-cooling it to the optimal temperature for charging. That can make a big difference to how rapidly and efficiently the battery charges when you arrive.

Squared sport steering wheel

The squared design of the steering wheel delivers a sporty grip. And it’s packed with stylish switches for driver controls. You can even customise one for convenient access to a specific function.

When the temperature drops, heat the steering wheel. Use the centre display or let the car do it automatically. Below 7°C, the steering wheel can be heated as part of a preconditioning program scheduled in your Volvo EX30 app.

How long can I drive before I need to recharge the battery on the fully electric Volvo EX30?

The estimated range of the Volvo EX30 is up to 480km. Range depends on various factors, like driving style, outdoor temperature, weather, wind, topography and road conditions. Other factors that impact range include how much electricity you use for car functions such as heating and cooling. Help extend your range by preconditioning the battery when charging to hit the optimal temperature when your journey begins.

How long does it take to charge my Volvo EX30?

We recommend charging up to 80 per cent capacity to charge as fast as possible. This helps keep charging times short, as the last 20 per cent takes the longest. And by preconditioning the car battery before arriving at a fast-charging station, you can help ensure faster, more efficient charging.

This approach means you can charge 10 to 80 per cent at a 175kW DC fast-charging station in as little as 26.5 minutes.

If you need a full charge to reach your destination or the next charging station, use controls on the centre display to hit 100 per cent.

Charging times may vary and depend on factors such as outdoor temperature, current battery temperature, charging equipment, battery condition, car condition, etc.

How much does it cost to charge the battery of the Volvo EX30?

The cost of electricity varies, but the cost to charge a car can be lower than the equivalent petrol or diesel car. Lower running costs is one of several reasons some people switch to fully electric cars.

Where can I charge my Volvo EX30?

Fast charging is available at DC fast charging stations. You can find charging stations on your selected route using Google Maps from the centre display or the Volvo EX30 app. You can also charge at home with a Volvo Cars wallbox.

Is Volvo EX30 a safe car?

The EX30 may be small, but it’s as safe as you’d expect from a Volvo SUV. We’ve applied our industry-leading standards of protective safety and added new features.

Does the Volvo EX30 have Apple CarPlay?

Does the Volvo EX30 have Google built-in?

What is a compact SUV?

SUV stands for sports utility vehicle. These are highly versatile 5- or 7-seater passenger vehicles with an upright exterior design. They have a higher seating position than a standard family car and typically feature all-wheel drive. They are built in various sizes, with smaller SUVs considered compact.

The small size of the Volvo EX30 means it can be considered a compact SUV. It's still versatile and upright, with a carrying capacity of up to five people and spacious load compartments.
